For a Hollywood monster blockbuster that usually doesn’t fly with audiences because they want everything fast and they want it now. But it worked in the long run for GODZILLA because It keeps the budget nice and tight and made you appreciate the icon’s screentime throughout the film. Gareth Edwards didn’t want to blow the film’s load too quickly, and wanted to build up Godzilla until the third-act. Because if you give him away too early, and have him fight too soon, then you have nothing to top that with in your story. Because then you had given everything away that people had wanted to see. Now you lost tension, momentum, and the life in your story. if you have not seen Shin Godzilla toho’s latest godzilla movie you really should , i love how they did the godzilla remake . plenty of good people actors and plenty of good screen time for the king of the monsters.
