So many great memories. I loved the Monkees. Can still sing the words to most of their songs. We always went to Davy Jones’s performances at Disney’s Flower & Garden Show. Most of the crowd would sing along with him. One of my favorite things to do on Saturdays was to watch The Monkees. Soul Train and American Bandstand..seems like all my childhood memories are fading. Rest in Peace Peter. He was one of the famous students at Carleton College, my alma mater. Other famous grads included Melvin Laird, Defense Secretary under somebody. There was always a sense of bemusement about Peter Tork (nee Thorkelson) because Carleton liked to extol more prestigious students or grads. R.I.P Peter. I loved watching the Monkees and listening to your music! Thank you for all those years of entertainment. I got turned onto music because of The Monkees.
