Spot on and everyone else is. Wanna be eco bullshitter. Modern cars you could run in a closed garage for hours and not even get sick or poisoned one bit. Chris Barbieri we can work on these areas as well. There are more programs than ever to recycle E-Waste, regulations for land conservation should be enacted, and turning to solar and other renewables which are rapidly becoming far more affordable. In fact in countries with less infrastructure solar rivals fossil fuels in cost. Point being it’s not a “if one then not the other” situation. We can do better in all of those area and still work on these. And we should, but the current administration and corporations fight it tooth and nail. Regardless of the environmental impact, electric power is better in every single quantitative measure. I’ve made a living for the last decade as a diesel mechanic, and I can say – without question – that electric motors are the future of heavy trucking.
