I don’t believe there is a “Best”. Each of them played a terrific role in their respective genres/roles. Leto wasn’t even a thought when making my previous post, I assumed most wouldn’t either. With each decades passing we inherit a new figure for joker. He evolved like the American mindset and I don’t see it as who’s best. Just a time capsule of sorts for each decade the villain represents. Mark Hamill could keep the goofiness and lightness but then could weave you down a dark deep profound place and then bust into crazed terrifying laughter. He’s the voice I read when I read comics. He was a better showman than the others. More of a ringleader to keep with the circus metaphors.
