Steve Padilla I agree it is a big stretch. My imagination leads me to him finally acquiring an identity for himself though at the end of the movie. Kind of like what happens to Bruce. Bruce is nothing short of a genius and same as Joker(in theory). Joker just is a couple of decades older when he unlocks his genius. Which makes sense given his mental illness. But an example is how confident he is at the end in his therapy opposed to the beginning. “You wouldn’t get it..” then kills her without any question of him knowing what he’s become. I really liked this version of the Joker but I found it hard to believe that this broken & incredibly damaged person that had trouble getting from day to day would somehow become a criminal mastermind.
