I bought a new bin without much thought only to realise it had a push down/drop in lid!! My poor cats . The next day I replaced it with one that had a lift up lid so they don’t fall IN the bin while using it to launch themselves up higher in the kitchen. Black Cat is this jolly enough Christmas shirt

So funny. I have four rescued kitties and have neighbours cats round too. Each have their funny ways, none of them really naughty but they can do some daft things at times. Love Simon’s cat. Don’t have a cat anymore but I have a dog that gets in the trash and eats Kleenex. Silly Simon, take the meat off the chicken leg and give it to the cat, you’d avoid a lot of trouble this way. Cat doesn’t need to be hungry to try to get in trash; it just wants to see what it wasn’t offered. Luckily my girls stay out of the trash can, usually, though Cally will investigate if we put bones in there. We always take the liner down to the outside can when there’s something that will either smell if left overnight or that the cats would like to have on their own.
