Side note: if any child comes to my door any day but 10/31 it will be a trick not a treat. That goes for the parents too. I get there not moving the holiday but just the trick or treating. How is it better when there’s more parties and alot of drunk drivers. Keep Halloween where it is! I’m sorry but this has to be one of the stupidest things ever! Trick-or-treating when it’s dark out is part of the fun and long standing tradition. If u want your child to be more safe then do what my parents did, either have an older sibling go with the younger ones or a have a parent go with them! So many are trying to destroy what has always been a fun holiday for both children and adults. I am all for the safety of our children, but there are plenty of ways to do it.
