Cinema history has many franchise movies, but not many films keep the main cast together side by side for 15 years and promise to be even longer. (X-Men still has to replace the actor, so is James Bond.) What Fast & Furious does is create a family, not only of the main actors who have long seen each other as brothers, but also a big family with millions of fans.
One can go crazy about a movie, maybe love a character, but to love a movie is a special thing. Furious 7, even if Paul was still alive, was a very interesting movie. But because of Paul, it became an emotional memory in the hearts of the audience, making people love this movie and the people who made it – as a miracle.
