In Vietnam, classification of driver’s license is regulated as follows:
A1 class: Permitted to operate a 2-wheel motorcycle with a cylinder capacity from 50cc to less than 175cc available in 1989.
Class A2: Permitted to operate a 2-wheel motorcycle in general, without cylinder capacity limit Yes in 1992.
Class A3: It is allowed to operate 3-wheel motorbikes, rickshaws, cyclo drivers and A1 class vehicles, not applicable to A2 class vehicles.
Grade A4: Allows operation of tractors up to 1,000 kg in 1994.
