With her mother’s encouragement, Ms. Ruth became an outstanding student at James Madison High School. In 1954, she graduated from Cornell University in New York and married Mr. Marty Ginsburg who was also a lawyer, becoming Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Two years later, in 1956, Ms. Bader was one of nine women enrolled in Harvard Law School.
